Copyright & Image Usage

Who owns the photographs and films, and how you may use and share them.

Copyright ownership

All photographs and video material created during a session remain the intellectual property of the photographer, in line with applicable copyright law. Delivery of files does not transfer copyright.

Personal use

Customers receive the right to use the delivered images and videos for personal purposes: printing, albums, personal social media and sharing with family and friends.

Commercial use

Commercial use — advertising, paid promotion, resale, brand campaigns or use by a third party company — requires prior written agreement. Commercial licensing terms are agreed before the session whenever possible.

Editing and integrity

Delivered files may not be re-edited, re-cropped in a way that alters the work, filtered or otherwise modified in a manner that misrepresents the original work, without permission. Please do not remove or crop out any credit that appears on a delivered file.

Credit

When sharing images publicly, a credit to the photographer is appreciated and, for commercial or editorial publication, required.

Portfolio and promotional use

The photographer may use selected images from a session in a portfolio, on this website and on social media. If you prefer your images to remain private, tell the photographer before or during the session and your images will not be published.

Third parties

Delivered files may not be sold, sub-licensed or supplied to third parties for their own commercial use without written permission.
